Here is our first wine in a can! Dry, funky and decidedly not the norm.
Made up of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay harvested early from the vineyard at Trail Estate this wine was blended with Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Sauv. Blanc and Viognier (White Pét Nat base) to add texture (and a bit of funk) from time on skins. Wine was put to barrel and aged in neutral oak over the winter. Wild ferment and bottled unfined & unfiltered with minimal sulphurs.
Watermelon Jolly Ranchers mixed in with perfumed aromatics. A light palate with an undercurrent of minerality from the soils of Prince Edward County. Perhaps the most complex rosé ever in a can — just portable! Definitely best served in a glass and perfect with charred meat or veg.
