Piquette & Pet Nat Cocktails

We have had a number of requests for more Piquette ideas. We know they are not wine and sometimes it’s harder to know what to pair with them. Normally, we like to keep wine pure and enjoy its exuberance and drive all on its own. With the inclusion of herbs and botanicals in our Piquettes, we are already going down a mixologist’s path!
But it makes sense. The depth of flavour, tannins and texture in Piquette and Pét Nat surely elevate any cocktail.
Here are our first 6 Piquette and Pet Nat Cocktails! The recipes are adaptations of classics by Francesca Dille- Boyd. Not only capable in the cellar, she also makes a mean cocktail! 
Feel free to mix it up and explore!
1. Sgroppino
2022 SAUVIGNON BLANC/MUSCAT, RHUBARB & LAVENDER PIQUETTE
1 Scoop Strawberry or Raspberry Sorbet
1/2 oz. Vodka
3 oz. Piquette, poured over top
Build in a wine glass in sequence.

  

2. Pet Nat Blanc
2021 WHITE PET NAT

2 bar spoons Maple Syrup
1/2 oz. Kinsip Brandy
2 dashes Black Walnut Bitters
5 oz. White Pét Nat 

Build in a white wine glass or flute. Garnish with a lemon twist.

 

3. County Sour
2022 CHARDONNAY, PEACH & THYME PIQUETTE

1 oz. Bourbon 1/2 oz. Peach Schnapps
1/4 oz. Lemon Juice 1/4 oz. Simple Syrup
3/4 oz. Egg White 3 oz. Piquette 

Add ingredients into your shaker in order. 
Shake without ice for 30 seconds. Open and add ice. 
Shake vigorously once more for ten seconds. 
Strain over ice in a rocks glass.
Top with Piquette and garnish with a sprig of thyme.

 

4. Piquette 75
2022 RIESLING & LEMON BASIL PIQUETTE

1 oz. Gin
1/2 oz. Lemon Juice
1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
4 oz. Piquette

Add ingredients into your shaker with ice.
Shake vigorously and strain into a flute glass.
Top with Riesling & Lemon Basil Piquette.
Garnish with a lemon twist.

 

 5. Kir Royale
2022 RED PET NAT

1/2 oz. Kinsip County Cassis
5 oz. Red Pét Nat  

Build in a white wine glass or flute.
Garnish with a lemon twist. 

 

6. Piquette Spritz
2022 CABERNET FRANC PIQUETTE

1 oz. Campari 
1 oz. Grapefruit Juice
4 oz. Piquette 
Splash of Soda

Build in a wine glass over ice. 
Garnish with a grapefruit twist.
