  • Trail Estate and Jamie Kennedy Dinner Series - Saturday, July 15th

    Continuing in the summer of 2017, Chef Jamie Kennedy shares the beauty and bounty of his farm in Hillier, Prince Edward County.
    We are proud to take part July 15th, in this series of Saturday evening feasts seated in a rustic barn setting and celebrating the gastronomic beauty & spirit of this special place on the shores of Lake Ontario. Watch as your dinner is prepared, cooked outside over glowing embers — and each dish paired with the wines of Trail Estate. Our winemaker, Mackenzie Brisbois will be at the table and sharing with you stories of our latest wines — some of which never before released!
    We look forward to seeing you at J.K. Farm and being part of a memorable County weekend escape!

  • Winemaker Tours & Structured Tastings

    We invite you to get ‘behind-the-scenes’ and learn more about small-batch craft winemaking. Choose from full-day hands-on experiences to 1-hour tours or structured tastings — all in a small-group setting.

    Friday Winemaker Tours & Saturday Tastings

    Join us each week as we cover a different aspect of small-batch winemaking. Friday Tours and Saturday Tastings take place each weekend until December, at 4pm. Allow one hour for tours and 35-45 minutes for structured tastings.
    Includes flight of wines and bread & charcuterie board.

    Styles In Winemaking
    SEPTEMBER 2,3 & 23-24; OCTOBER 14-15; NOVEMBER 4-5
    We showcase the terroir of a certain site, using alternate winemaking styles to highlight differences and similarities. Here, we guide you through a structured tasting of wines fermented in different vessels and crafted in ‘atypical’ styles.
     
    SEPTEMBER 9-10 & 30; OCTOBER 21-22; NOVEMBER 11-12
        Riesling is a graceful, fresh wine, layered with complexity and delicacy — and it can range from off-dry, to sweet, to racingly acidic. Let us guide you through a flight of Trail Estate Rieslings. 
    AUGUST 26-27; SEPTEMBER 16-17; OCTOBER 7-8 & 28-29
        Compare our first three different vintages of Chardonnay. Join us to talk fermentation and barrel ageing and to assess wine flavour and structure.

    Friday Tours: $25/per person
    Saturday Structured Tastings: $15/per person

  • Maple in The County - All Day Brunch

    Once again, Saturday March 19 and Sunday March 20th, enjoy piping hot, freshly made Ice Riesling-infused French Toast, fresh fruit and maple cream paired with a glass of Ice Riesling ($10 incl tax; $6 without wine). Brunch will be served from 11am to 3pm (or until we run out!).

  • An Evening of Wine & Chocolate At The Vintage Conservatory, Toronto

    Valentine's Day is around the corner! There is no better time to indulge in and gift chocolate, than this special occasion.

    This Thursday, Feb 11th., come explore a selection of the well known Brix chocolate paired with some of our newest releases. Meet the winemaker, Mackenzie Brisbois, and learn more about the history and techniques used for each wine.

    This event, organized by The Cellar Sisters, takes place in one of Toronto's best private wine cellars.

  • Twas the night before Christmas...

    Twas the night before Christmas and all through the winery, not a wine was fermenting, not even the Franc.
    The barrels were stacked by the winemaker with care, in hopes that oak ageing would make them out fare.
    The Rieslings were nestled all snug in their tanks, while visions of customers all giving thanks;
    The 2015 vintage in glory, and our team all a-smile, had just settled down to vacation awhile.
    As we opened our bottles and poured it around, you could hear through the vines a beautiful sound, "Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night"
  • Gourmet Food and Wine Expo - Nov 20

    We're coming to Toronto!
    Friday November 20, we'll be at the Gourmet Food and Wine Expo!
    We'll be sampling some of our new releases including our 2013 Barrel-Aged Chardonnay and 2013 Cabernet2 — each aged about 18 months in barrel and drinking beautifully.

  • 60 Female Chefs, One Worthy Cause. And Wine!

    On Tuesday, October 27th, we attended Eat to the Beat! It's the only event in Canada that exclusively features the talent of 60 female chefs – women supporting women through the challenges that come with a breast cancer diagnosis.
    Guests had the opportunity to enjoy savoury and sweet dishes at 60 stations along with wine, beer and a selection of non alcoholic libations from 20 of the finest beverage purveyors — including Trail Estate! We showcased our 2014 Riesling as well as our just-released 2013 Cabernet2.
    Eat to the Beat has raised more than $3.7 million for Willow Breast & Hereditary Cancer Support.
