Our first ever collection of fortified wines at Trail Estate! A red, base wine was crafted with premium grapes, aged in barrel, and fortified with wheat based alcohol from Stillus Distillery in Prince Edward County.
Made in the style of an Amaro. Here, Riesling and Cabernet Franc are infused with star anise, clove, cinnamon, fresh ginger and fresh rosemary. Intensely-spiced, these aromatics are the essence of coziness. Finishes dry but with a slight flavour sweetness from the star anise.
